Howdy! My name is Lila Capps and I am a senior English Lit. major at Texas A&M. At this point, one of the most defining things you could know about me is that I am learning. I am learning that I thought I knew God’s love and actually haven’t even scratched the surface of it. I thought I knew what it meant to serve as a leader of a small group at my church, Antioch, but in reality, I am just beginning to learn how a leader is actually a servant. I am learning that to share the Gospel is to live it and discipleship is living like Jesus did and inviting people to do it with me (that one is fo sho a lifelong lesson). I am learning that repentance isn’t a parade of my failures, but rather a beautiful display of the grace and power of God. In the midst of all this learning, I love to play music, especially improv on the piano and sing. As an English lit. major, it is sort of a requirement that I enjoy reading and writing, which, thank goodness, I do:) Along with being a student I nanny for a couple wonderful families and work at a home décor boutique making wreaths, selling merchandise and taking part in the lives of the wonderful women who work or come through our store. To sum it up: I am a woman who is loved by Jesus and in awe of all that He has done for me. I am blessed beyond measure and SO STINKIN EXCITED to go on this adventure!
