I know, I know some of you probably read the title of this blog and you thought either one of two things: she’s still asking for money or she’s asking me for more money?! WHAT THE HECK. Whelp – indeed I am. The cry for help is real. The plea for fundraising support is serious. As serious as the Falcons winning the Super Bowl this year…..not really (unfortunately)…..looks like I picked a good football season to miss!

But, back to a more serious note. I’m currently at $9,400 – $1,600 short of my next December 1st deadline. I’m about 60% of the way to being fully funded. I know I still have a long way to go to reach my final goal of $16,000, but I’m over half way there!! And that is thanks to people like YOU. Those of you reading this blog post, those of you who are invested in me and this journey, those of you who already support me financially and spiritually. Y’all are absolutely amazing and I can not say thank you enough. You’re the reason I’m out in the mission field right now serving God and countless others around the world. Here’s my challenge for you: share this with your churches, with your friends and family, with your co-workers. Help me get the word out to as many people as possible! I’ve never been a math person, but I think it’s safe to say that the more people who know about my need for financial support, equals a better chance at receiving more donations. Lastly, if you feel it in your heart, I’ll even go as bold to ask you for another donation.

For those of you reading this blog and haven’t yet donated, I challenge you to take part in my 11/11 fundraising effort! Donate $11 (or $111 if you’re feeling extra generous during this upcoming holiday season) on 11/11. Maybe think of it as buying one less thing on Black Friday or one less Christmas present this year.

If you know me, you know I struggle with asking others for help. In regards to asking for financial support, it’s difficult for me to humble myself to others and ask them for their support. But I believe this is all part of God’s plan for me in calling me out to be Bold (you know what I mean if you read my last blog). So I’m doing just that, asking for your help! Fundraising was a difficult task for me in the States. God is really testing me with this whole fundraising out of the country thing and I’m really stepping out in my faith with this one.

These past 2 1/2 months on the race, I’m realizing that as I’m continually guided by the Holy Spirit to seek the truth, that truth is not a possession, but rather an encounter with people around the world. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide each of you along your faith journeys! Thank you in advance for your support. God Bless!

A brief update on what’s going on just to catch y’all up – we made it to Peru!! After a 33 hour bus ride from La Paz to Lima and another 20 hour bus ride from Lima to Pucallpa my team and I finally arrived at our ministry host for the month! We are staying with Pastor Lister and his family in their beautiful home. They have been an absolute blessing to us! Pastor Lister has a wife who is an RN, which let me tell you was a blessing in itself, since 3 of us were sick the first week (myself included). Pastor Lister also has 2 kids who are both in school – Karen, 22 and Joseph, 18. Our first week of ministry consisted of maintenance around the church – gardening, painting the Bible school rooms, repairing the church steps and other miscellaneous projects. In our free time, we really enjoy getting to know the family! Meal times are spent mostly as Spanish lessons – I’m starting to pick up some SUPER basic vocab and phrases lol. Siestas are a REAL thing here!! Peruvians are night owls! I could get quite used to this lifestyle 🙂

Stay tuned for more updates soon, as the month goes on! Missing everyone back home!! Love y’all!

Ps. I’m still trying to figure out how to post pictures to my blog. I haven’t found strong enough internet anywhere yet! In the meantime check out my pics on Facebook and Instagram by clicking on the links up top 🙂
