Originally I’m from Jackson, Mississippi. I’ve also lived in Cleveland, OH, Columbia, SC, and Atlanta, GA (where I’ve lived for the past 10 years).

I’ve spent 23 of my 25 years in the Southeast. I’m definitely a true southerner. Is my love for sweet tea, pecan pie, grits and use of the word “y’all” evidence enough?!

I went to The University of South Carolina and graduated in 2011 with a degree in Public Relations and Hospitality. I’m currently working in purchasing for a national home building company; Beazer Homes.

You should probably know that I’m a huge goofball. I can never take myself too seriously. There is nothing that I love more than making other people laugh. I truly believe that laughter is the best medicine and a good laugh can cure anything.

I have an adventurous soul. I studied abroad during college in Australia for 6 months. Travel has always been something that has intrigued and inspired me. If I had time, I wish I could visit every country. I’m so fascinated to see and experience other cultures in this world, and to see God’s beautiful creations throughout the world.

I LOVE football!! I’m a diehard South Carolina Gamecock and Atlanta Falcons fan. During the fall, we eat, sleep and breathe football down here in the South. There is nothing like football in the SEC.

I’m passionate about music (I’ve even earned the nickname DJ-L haha). I always appreciate a good quality live performance. You’ can always find me listening to music – during work, in my car with the windows down, on my iPod during a run – seriously anywhere and everywhere.
“Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, it flows from heaven to the soul.”

Some of my very favorite bands/musicians include Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Van Morrison, Mat Kearney, The Goo Goo Dolls, NEEDTOBREATHE, Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Kip Moore, Luke Bryan, Zach Brown Band, and Miranda Lambert (can you tell I love country music?)

A foodie….who, me? I’ll try just about anything and love trying out new restaurants in Atlanta. I’m quite the chicken salad connoisseur – its my all-time favorite and go to comfort food. I’m a little (ok a lot) obsessed with hot sauce. Sriracha, Jalapeños, Tabassco….you name it….I would put it on everything if I could!

Did I mention Brunch?! If brunching were a sport, I would win the gold medal. I absolutely love brunch, especially dining outdoors on a nice morning with a good cup of coffee and great friends.

I’ve had the privilege of growing up Catholic. I attended Catholic School my entire life, from 1st – 12th grade. My faith is something that is extremely important to me. God has truly blessed me in so many ways. Having faith in God and being able to put Him first in everything you do, is the greatest way to live your life. It’s so important to keep building a close relationship with God. I’m looking forward to doing this on our journey, while spreading his word.

My friends are my life. I’m privileged to have such an amazing support group through them. From my high school friends, to my Delta Zeta sorority sisters and my college buds, I have such a close knit group that I could count on for anything. We’ve been through it all together and have helped each other grow up. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow with all these amazing people whom I’m privileged to call my best friends.

My two siblings are my everything. My younger sister Amye is my best friend! She’s 24 – we’re only 1 year apart! Even though she’s younger, I look up to her in so many ways. My little (but taller) brother Zach is my mini me. He’s 21 and reminds me so much of myself – we are both huge goofballs! The three of us are very close and I love them both more than anything. Love you Meems & Butch!!

My parents are seriously the best parents ever! They’ve taught me so much and have supported me through everything. I couldn’t ask for two better role models. Whether it’s for a good laugh, advice, support or anything else, I know they will always be there for me no matter what. I can only hope that one day I’ll be able to raise a family they way have done. Love you mom and dad!!
