We had the amazing opportunity to head to Ireland at the end
of August for a conference called the Awakening.  It was a rejuvenating time of worship, seminars, and plenty
of sightseeing as well.  I even got
to have a “World Race birthday party,” since my real birthday is not during the
Race.

Dublin is an incredible city that reminded me so much of
Boston, where I was living prior to leaving for the Race.  The culture is amazing, and there is
some wonderful shopping there as well.
I was able to trade in my nasty Africa clothes for some new duds from a
store called Penney’s.  I also had
my hair cut and washed, which was an amazing treat!  It’s funny the things you appreciate after living in third
world countries for several months.

[Glenalyn & I on my “World Race Birthday.” Ooh I’m lovin’ my haircut, too!]

At the end of our week in Dublin, we were told that would be
having yet another team change: Jonathan Snyder was swapped for Kathryn
Gironimi.  I was sad to see
Jonathan go, because he is my buddy, but also really excited to have Kathryn
onboard.  We had worked with her
and Thailand so I already knew she was awesome!  Stay tuned to find out more about our new team and see a
rockin’ video made by the lovely Erin Crain! J

****Sidenote: I still
need about $900 to finish the Race.
