Hey everyone!

I have been having some confusion with my internet lately, which is primarily why I haven’t posted a blog in quite some time.  My apologies for that!  So I will try to update you on what’s been going on for the past couple of weeks.   We have been staying at a wonderful Christian camp ground and retreat center called El Rancho.  Our contact, Rob, is from California, and has been incredible to work with.  He also has a wonderful wife and three adorable boys whom I’ve enjoyed hanging out with during our stay here.   We finished our summer camp this past Saturday, which was an interesting experience for me.  I had fun, but was also very exhausted by the end of the week.  However, that evening we got to have a super-fun outing!  We drove to Wellington and visited a museum containing the world’s largest (dead) squid (yuck!).  Then Dave, one of the Kiwi camp leaders, invited us over to his parents’ house for fish and chips.  The house was beautiful, with several large windows overlooking the ocean.  Talk about my dream house!  We also had a fun evening of pool and karaoke in downtown Wellington.  It was a great time of fellowship and fun after a long week of bunking with kids.
This week we have mostly been cleaning El Rancho from top to bottom to prepare for a Christian conference called New Wine which starts this evening.  From now through Monday, I will be on a team serving in the kitchen to feed the hundreds of guests.  We will probably need prayer for strength and energy, as we will be having some long days ahead of us (7 am to 9 pm, with a couple of short breaks here and there).  But I’m looking forward to being able to help the staff here at El Rancho.  Here are some
pictures from my time here thus far…
