hello there.
well, i really have a hard time filling out these “about me” things, because i’m not sure how to put myself into words.
but…here goes.
i am a 23-year-old recent college grad from oklahoma city, ok. but i grew up in the beautiful city of santa fe, nm, which i still consider to be my home. my parents are two of the most incredible people i know, though it took me a while to realize just how blessed i am to have them. i have one younger sister, who will be graduating from high school in a couple of weeks. i come from a family of artists. we all absolutely love art. i’ve found that painting is one of my strongest ways of connecting with God, who is, of course, the original artist.
i grew up in christian schools, which helped shape my morals and beliefs in a lot of ways. i started out at a state university, but then found myself wanting to transfer to a christian college. so i ended up at oral roberts university, where i was blessed with the opportunity to travel to ukraine for a month to do missions work. it was a great experience, and it was there that i was bitten by the missions bug. anyway, i graduated in december with a degree in psychology and an art minor.
i’m passionate about a lot of things.
i love Jesus. He IS the reason for who i am and everything i’m about. i hate to think where i’d be without Him.
i love people. my heart breaks for those who are hurting and don’t know that the answer to their problems is Christ.
i love adventure. in fact, i thrive on it. i believe in living each day to the fullest, conquering your fears, and going big at all times.
i love to travel. i recently got a job working on a cruise ship, and just completed my first contract sailing the mexican riviera (hence the delay of my blogging due to limited internet access). i feel so blessed to be able to experience and explore the world and all of its amazing sites. it’s an incredible job, i must say.
i love music. gosh, music just makes me so happy! my ipod is my best friend, (not really, haha). 🙂
i love nature and the outdoors. being outside and enjoying God’s beautiful creation is one of the greatest gifts we have.
i’m so stoked about the world race; i know it will be an incredibly life-changing experience.
