7. Being Thankful through everything (even when you are out of water for a week and haven’t been able to shower.)
8. Learning that there is bigger problems in the World rather than the petty things we get impatient and upset about in America.
9. The importance of knowing your word, remember it’s the sword and it will help you defend yourself from Satan.
10. Remembering that even if you don’t think you are making an impact that one seed you planted along the way may be huge for someone else.
11. If you really want to follow the Lord it takes surrender of what you want, and it’s all about what he wants.
12. Having two weeks worth of clothing is easier because you don’t have to spend hours questioning what shirt you want to wear because lack of clean choice decides it for you.
13. Public transportation is almost never reliable ( Guatemala chicken busses are the worst. )
14. The importance of seeing God through the little things.
15. Learning the importance of emotional healing and how it affects a persons walk with Christ.
16. Learning that if you are obedient to what God calls you to do he will bless your efforts.
17. People need to hear the raw Gospel and it doesn’t need to be sugar coated.
18. It’s important to take a sabbath. We live in a culture that is obsessed with being busy. God never intended life to be lived that way that’s why he made a sabbath.
19. Living in community is hard, but yet so rewarding.
20. It’s okay to voice your opinion, if you never say anything people will never know.
21. A guy worth pursuing is a guy who is pursuing the Lord as equal as you are.
22. What’s app is the best means of communicating with your friends all across the world.
23. Not everyone is as clean as you are. The best part about being a clean person is your never have to clean up.
24. Cold showers aren’t that bad only when you are in Guatemala in the mountains or in Africa winter time. ( still alive though)
25. You would be surprised how many people in the World speak English, Guatemala being the only country I had problems.
26. Never take fruit and vegetable for granted, the World doesn’t have access to fresh food the way we do.
27. Toilet paper is gold. Asia uses a water hoses and it’s weird.
28. Squattie potties are as bad as they sound.
29. Home is not where you are but who you are with.
30. Having good wifi strong enough to FaceTime is hard to come by overseas.
31. Rice can be made in 200 different ways and I have had all of them.
32. Always be culturally sensitive, but you have to be insensitive sometimes to figure out what’s not culturally accepted.
33. Being called fat is only offensive in America and each country it has become more of a compliment.
34. A ENO hammock can be hung on any surface it takes being creative to figure it out.
35. You can preach even if you think you can’t you can and they will appreciate whatever you have to say by saying Amen every 5 seconds.
36. You can also learn how to play a instrument in a week, if you have the right attitude.
37. God will use you in weird ways, like giving a sex talk to 30 year olds in a African community.
39. There is something important about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone example: performing a dance at a Indian wedding in front of 500 people.
40. Sometimes when you have nothing, that’s when your realize that you have all you need.
41. Good friends are hard to come by but my team of 6 months are my best friends.

50. My race was all worth it I could have asked for a better opportunity.
I will be home in 5 days, and it is so sad to leave this but like I said I’m only going to be walking into a different season of life. My race doesn’t end here God has said to Go home and tell my family all of what he has done in me and through. Thank you for the support of 9 months. I will never be the same.
