Guatemala was my first country I have ever been to outside the US. I had no idea what to expect. I had no idea what this month of ministry would look like. No idea how or what I would be eating, or how I would be showering. I had prepared myself for the worst, but prayed for the best.

-If you ask, God will literally make a gallon of paint cover an entire nursery room.

-When you are open to what God has for you, He will overflow in your life.

-Prayers work. 2 months ago Macario was on a feeding tube, and weighed a mere 6 pounds. Today he is eating solid food, drinking full bottle, weighs in at just over 13 pounds, and has the best personality of a 3 year I have ever seen.

-When you see even the smallest cloud in the mountains of Guatemala, don't doubt that it will downpour.

-Aladdin pants are a must.

-I'm convinced the ants here are some morbid version of fleas and fire ants. They suck, just ask my ankles.

– Just because you don't speak the language of the particular area doesn't mean you can't speak to the people. <<Actions speak louder than words>>

-60 people using one kitchen and 3 bathrooms really isn't that bad.

-Don't take a single day for granted, each day has its own lesson to be learned.

-Chicken bus + 60 people = best memories

-God is a gentleman. He won't force himself on you, he will wait for you to reach for him.

-A child's smile can imitate the face of God in an instant.

-God humbles you by showing you that sometimes the people you are ministering to sometimes minister to you more than you minister to them.

God has shown up in so many ways, through new friendship on the squad, to secrets being told, and chains being broken. God provided us with a ministry contact that has spoiled us with their love.  Their hospitality has spoken so loudly the presences of God. Through the sicknesses of the squad, to showing us how to hand wash clothes, and cooking us some authentic food. I am forever grateful for this month.

This month has proved God's faithfulness to me. He is so gracious and merciful. I have learned to trust God, and give Him the situations that use to make me frustrated.

So what if we are a few minutes late to church, we were still the first ones there.

So what if things don't always go as planned, God uses ever moment to stretch and mold you into His image.

God is forever faithful. Forever gracious. Forever loving.

Until the end of time…
