What are you passionate about? There are plenty of things in this world to be passionate about. It can be overwhelming to choose what and where to invest our time, money and energy.
Four years ago, someone here in town constructed a snowman that was a couple of dozen feet tall. It was so big it attracted an international media frenzy. For a variety of reasons, the City called for Snowzilla's demise. It became a “public hazard.” Shortly thereafter, this resulted in a huge protest of snowmen going down to city hall to picket (see photos below). These snowmen (and their makers) were passionate about their cause: bring back Snowzilla was their mantra. These people were passionate and took action.
So, what are you passionate about? What is your snowzilla? Do you have the courage and passion to pursue it?
As I've told people about my upcoming mission abroad, countless people have told me they would love to do something similar. Perhaps life's circumstances are preventing you from pursuing a big passion or a dream at this time. But think baby steps. It can be a passion here at home; it doesn't have to be a year away in foreign countries. There is great need here at home. I encourage you to take a step towards your passion or dream. Why not? What's holding you back? Pick a passion and pursue it!
