2 days until training camp! WHAT?! That can't be right because my summer just started.

But here i am, exhausted from staying up packing all night, so it must be true.

After finishing up packing and carrying it all around for a few minutes, I vowed to purge a good portion of it before I leave tomorrow. Better to learn to live on less now rather than in September. I'm tempted to only take a couple outfits because it's not like we are going to be able to identify whose stench is whose by the end of the week anyway.

I'd give you a little insight into what I packed, but honestly I can't remember it all. I'll do a post after training camp about what I should/shouldn't have packed. That is guaranteed to be more entertaining anyway.

Training camp is June 13-20. It will bring tons of joys and challenges. I'll give the full rundown when I get back.

If you are dying to know what training might possibly look like, here's a blog from someone who went last year: http://jessestanford.theworldrace.org/?filename=training-camp-photo-blog

People keep asking me if I'm nervous. I'm completely honest when I say, not right now. Maybe that will change once it gets closer to September. That's about 51 days away, but who's counting?

I have my moments. Like when I turned in the date for my last day of work. Or when I start talking to my sweet Maggie about how she's leaving for college for a month. Or when I think about missing Jennica's senior year or my niece and nephew's birthdays.

That kind of stuff is hard for me, but as much as I wish I could just bring everyone I love along with me, I know that following Christ means that I will have to abandon things that I treasure.

and He is absolutely worth it.
