First off: Thank you! To those who have already joined as supporters of my Race, I have been so blessed by your out pouring of love, prayer, and support. The Father's provision is an amazing thing and I know I can trust Him to continue to provide all that is needed to make this mission possible.
I have been receiving questions concerning deadlines and ways in which people can join in supporting, so I wanted to post some information to answer these questions.
There are two ways in which support can be sent to Adventures in Missions (the Organization which the World Race is through):
Check:
- Checks can be mailed to – "Adventures in Missions"
- Please make checks out to "Adventures in Missions" with Ownbey Lena in the memo line
- Support made by check are fully put towards my account and may take up to 3 weeks to process
Online:
- Online donations are made through this blog, by clicking on the "Support Me!" link
- Although online donations are more convenient using your debit or credit card, 3% is taken from the donation for processing fees.
- Online donations take 3-4 days to be processed.
Please not that Adventures in Missions does not accept cash donations and all support is tax deductable.
Deadlines:
$3,500 – Due 5/4/2013
$6,500 – Due 6/17/2013 (2 weeks prior to my trip)
$11,000 – Due 10/1/2013 (End of 3 months on the field)
$15,500 – Total Due 1/1/2014 (End of 6 months on the field)
