Precursor: This blog is not a well-written story, but merely a quick update and the facts on reality. It could be destiny for you to read this.

It has been a whirlwind doing life in Zambia.

A typical ministry day looks like teaching and administration at Destiny School from 8-4, running errands, home by 6, dinner, team meeting, and bed to do it all over again the next day. An exception to this was the past week were we spent time in the village of Mumbwa, 2.5 hrs north with a different pastor and his family. We participated in door to door evangelism, visiting the hospital, a cell group, and church service. We did a lot of praying over hardships and encouragement from the Word.

[My team and I visiting the home of Morris and Janette who gave us a chicken!]

Everyone told us you cannot do Zambia without seeing Victoria Falls, so after 8 straight days of working we took a quick day and a half to Livingstone, Zambia to partake in the world’s best white water rafting, a gorge swing experience, and seeing the Falls. It was beautiful and a MUCH needed break!

Back to work today at Destiny School, I am on the administrative side of things. We interviewed several students from the school, and I trial-and-errored my way through making a video of their responses. I would love for you to meet these children and see what good this school is doing! Additionally, Destiny needs help and if you are reading this, you could be the answer to their prayers!

An American partnership with the school is coming to an end and most parents or caretakers in this community do not have money for their children’s education.  The children’s sponsorships from America were all the school had to hire teachers at a very meager salary, not to mention, utilities and maintenance.

The most urgent, current needs are nuts and bolts to put their desks together. The frames exist but the boards for the tabletops and benches fall off all the time.

There is a YouCaring fundraising site set up for this purpose. If you would like to donate to this cause, please do so in the next three days (by January 29) before my teams leaves Zambia, so we can make sure the supplies are purchased!

Also, I will borrow your networking skills if I may. This school’s existence is a completely faith-based, miracle that functions only because of God’s provision. If you know of any organization or church that would like to take on sponsorship of 400 children at $5/child/month or would mobilize missionaries to be volunteer teachers here that would be AMAZING.

Thank you for your prayers for Destiny School’s future and any other assistance you have to offer. I am so grateful for each and every one of you and am so happy to be partnering with you in Kingdom work!!!
