Last month in Nepal God taught me to rely on Him for happiness instead of finding it in outside activities or events. He showed me how to rest in Him and find my joy from what He gives, from His overflow.

When we landed in Thailand my new team and I were all bright eyed dreaming up all the possibilities we could experience God in this new country.

We departed from the rest of the squad eager to explore Bangkok for a night. We went to different markets and got to experience the yummy Thai food!

Our ministry host met up with us the next day, and we all piled into a jeep thing heading to pioneer the country of Burma.

On the way:
we stopped at a war memorial site, where American world war 2 vets were buried.
We stopped to hike and explore 7 waterfalls deep in the Thai jungle.
We stopped to view the Kwai river bridge and eat street meat on a stick.
**none of these things were planned, but team radical was open and ready for anything the day had to offer.

We then find out the boarder is closed due to a holiday. So we stay the night in a hostel not far from the Burma boarder.

While sitting at dinner in the hostel we are talking about how God gave us an extra night in Thailand for a reason. So we walk out into the streets praying for everything we see, especially the women of the night. We stand together holding hands in the street praying out loud for the people of Thailand. I could physically feel Gods arms wrap around us as we are praying and getting the strange looks from the locals.

The next morning we get up early to have a quick bible study and prayer time as a team before we trek out to Burma.

We made it across the boarder safely and are riding through the jungle, admiring the rivers and mountains surrounding the tent communities of the locals.

<And then I woke up>

Is how I feel the story should end. Because this all just feels like something straight out of a dream.

My soul comes alive when I’m on adventures with God. When we set out with no plans and let Him take us to what He has.

We have no idea where we are going
Our ministry host doesn’t know either.
We are all praying for God to show up
As a unit we are trusting God to guide us, especially during this opportunity to pioneer through Burma.
We are praying for divine appointments

Something I’ve learned while being here is to expect God to show up, to fully believe that He has better plans then I could ever dream.

And to praise Him through, even when I feel lost.
