I was going to title this post “Cheesecake and Cheetahs and the Deets on Donations.” I really was. But I figured then I’d probably have to write something about cheesecake and cheetahs, and this was all I could think of:

Life is like cheesecake. It tastes good.

Life is like a cheetah. It goes fast.

 

You can see why I chose to take out the cheesecake and cheetahs. And now, we’re left with the best part… the deets on donations!!

 

Wondering how you can get involved in this ministry God has called me to? Looking for a way to support a missionary, or someone to bless with your tithe? Look no further!

(This feels like an infomercial. It’s not, I swear. But if you’d like to join me in financial support, this is how you do it:)

 

Option #1: Donating By Check

     -Checks must be made payable to Adventures in Missions (if they aren’t, they cannot be processed!)

     -You must write my name (Leandra Vogel) on the memo line of every check

     -Checks should be mailed to: Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta GA 30374-2570

     -It’s best if there’s a fundraising card included with each check — I made them bright yellow and put them in every letter I sent out! If you need one (or more), just let me know.

 

Option #2: Donating By Money Order

     -You can send in a money order! Just follow all the guidelines about donating via check

 

Option #3: Donating Online (One-time or Monthly)

     -You can donate by clicking Support Me! on my blog

     -Online donations by credit/debit card will be subject to a 3% processing fee (added on to your donation)

     -Using this option, you can set up a recurring donation, by choosing a start and end date for your donations. 

     -If you choose to set a monthly donation through this option, you must set your donations to stop by March 1st, 2015. That’s the date by which I need to be fully funded!

 

Option #4: Donating Online with Dynapay (Monthly)

     -Dynapay is an option for donating through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), which allows you to set up a monthly donation through your personal checking account

     -There is no processing fee for monthly donations made through Dynapay

     -You can set up your monthly donation by going to www.adventures.org/dynapay and filling out the form (including Leandra Vogel as the person to support!)

     -You should set up an end date for your monthly donations when you set up your Dynapay account (sometime before March 1st, 2015, my fully funded date!)

     -If you don’t select an end date, you have to submit a written request (fax, letter, email) to Donor Relations to stop your donations! They will not stop automatically.

 

Option #5: Donations of Gear and Things I Need!

     -While the funding of this trip is a huge undertaking in itself, I also have other things to find/purchase, which currently have to come from my own (rather small) bank account

     -These items include a 1 or 2-person lightweight backpacking tent (that’s a biggie), a plane ticket to Atlanta for Training Camp this summer, a plane ticket to my launch site in September (which I don’t the location of yet), vaccinations/malaria pills, and miscellaneous other items that I’ll need in order to live out of my backpack for 11 months! 

     -If you’d like to help support me through donations of gear, plane tickets, or cash to purchase any of those things, I would be forever grateful

This is a lot of information. It’s overwhelming. It’s slightly confusing. So many options! If you’re struggling with figuring out what all this means, or what the best way to donate is, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Whichever way you choose to donate means the world to me. I have already experienced God’s blessings in choosing to follow Him on this trip, and I am praying, expectant that He will provide all I need and more.
