Hello! This is my first blog post, so I hope it goes through!
I think I’m going to do this fun little thing for myself, and take all of my blog titles from song lyrics. 🙂
Dear reader,
I just wanted to take this time to let you know some information about me and why I chose to do this. You see, I have always loved volunteering, and when my friend told me about the World Race, it sounded like something right up my alley. The World Race provides us with the opportunity to do many different types of volunteer work, such as helping with: orphanages, schools, maternity homes, shelters, sex trafficking victims, etc. I was interested in the Peace Corps for quite sometime, but unlike the World Race, it is a two year commitment and I wouldn’t be able to speak about my faith in the Lord.
I am SO excited for this opportunity to help others, and to grow closer to God myself. As much as I love volunteering, I am feeling pulled to do this selfishly to help myself and my relationship with God… but I think that is a good thing to be selfish about 🙂 I want to strengthen my spiritual growth, and I feel like this is the best avenue I could take at this point in my life.
Well, that is the nutshell version of my decision to take this wonderful journey of a lifetime. I AM SO EXCITED!!!
