Here is a little information about me. I live in Georgia, and teach 2nd grade in Gwinnett County. On the weekend I am a wench at Medieval Times. I love both of my jobs so much! I am a total workaholic, working over 80 hours a week, but it is what I love to do!
I have realized that I started my career and I’m still working my other job, but I haven’t yet done something that helps others or helps mold myself into a more Godly person. I have jumpstarted this worldly life, I’m ahead of where I need to be with retirement and my job status; but I didn’t want to continue through it unless I made God the central force, first. So now I am choosing to be unemployed for a while, because I truly feel like the Lord is pulling me in this direction. I need to strengthen my relationship with God, and I want to use my life to positively help others. I refuse to just float through life, getting by with no passions.
I am incredibly excited for this opportunity! I am certain that this is the next step that needs to be taken in my life. God has blessed my life. I have the BEST family, two fantastic jobs, wonderful friends, and a spoiled life… I have the Lord to thank for all of this. Now it is my turn to pay it forward, and show others around the world the love that I have been blessed with.
I may not be great with words, but I just know in my heart that this mission trip is The Lord’s next plan for me, and I am so excited and scared! 🙂
