I cannot believe that it is already the 15 th of November and that we only have 15 days left here in Vietnam, it feels like such a whirlwind. November in America is known as the kickoff off the holiday season. A holiday full of fellowship, food and thankfulness with Family and friends, whoever you may be surrounded. A time, a day, or even the entire month posting on Facebook what one is thankful for in life.
But what does thankfulness mean?
The dictionary defines is as “aware and appreciative of a benefit; grateful or expressive of gratitude.” Benefit is defined as “something that promotes or enhances well being; an advantage.”
So if we rephrased, Thankfulness means aware of things that promote or enhance our well being.
Right now we all have advantages in life. Whether it be sitting on the internet for hours, the family next to you, a cell phone, car, friends, education, and so much more. I want to take a moment and be thankful for the women God has put in my life this year.
Chelsey: DD’s fearless leader who has so much energy and love that she makes new friends where ever we go. She inspires me to reach out to others ever single day. She is outgoing, but loves to geek out on her knowledge of the word.
Her willingness to share her knowledge helps me go deeper every time.
Saige: Saige is our treasure, she keeps track and deals with our finances every single day. She crunches the numbers, does conversations and keep us on budget. She is quieter and thoughtful with her words. Once you get to know her confidence and goofy side come out strong. She loves helping others find the beauty in themselves.
Emily: has a heart of gold. She has a thirst for knowledge and discipling young women that G will use greatly this year. She takes time to notice people and dig deep with them and what they are going through. She has a joy and care for those around her that cannot be beat.
Jenny: is artsy in every sense of the word from her drawing skills to the way she dresses. She is sensitive to others and notices when they are going through something. She is not afraid to ask questions and loves people without judgement. One of those you can have a conversation that flows perfectly even though you talk about everything under the sun.
Lindy: is wise beyond her years. Thus the nickname grandma we have given her. She has a wide breath of knowledge of both the word and world. She is confident, and at peace with herself, and what she understands. Her relationship with G is so strong, that we are inspired every day.
Jill: Jill was honestly a surprise at T.C. she was so quiet. But has since come full throttle out of her shell. Her heart for women is Amazing. The love and encouragement she gives to each of us is a sign of how much she loves and cares for people, and especially women. Her relationship and closeness with G encourages each of us to dig deeper.
Community is not always easy, but these women have begun to stretch and helped me grow. Sometimes growth is tough, but the have encouraged me through it. Encouraged me to ask more, love always and embrace every laugh or struggle.
Each one of these women have had such an impact on me in the three short months I have known them. I do not know how I would do this race without then by my side. I am incredibly thankful for them, and how they have encouraged me to dig deeper, but helped me understand the importance of beauty and the artistry in make up and appearance and the difference that can bring to confidence in self. G has big plans for them here on this adventure.
I have been so blessed by fiances and blown away from your gifts, that I want to share with you this so you get to know my team better, and the community I am in this year. Lindy, Jill, and Jenny Three of these wonderful women are still in need of funds for the December. 1st deadline that is quickly approaching. I encourage you to not only pray for them and these funds, but it being the 11 month of the year and this being an 11 month journey give $11 or more to help then stay here. Our G is a G of love and provision, He is the ultimate reason to be thankful.
