As I closed the final book of Suzanne Collins best-selling
trilogy, The Hunger Games, I rolled over onto my side, overcome with emotions.
I lay there crying, grieving the characters I’d become deeply connected to in
the few days of reading. Yet, I realized there was much more I was grieving in
that moment. The hopelessness of the society in which the book was set flooded
my mind with images of all of the faces I have come across in the last two
years of traveling the world. The widow, the orphan, the homeless, the
crippled, the possessed, the prostitute.
The similarities between the fictional
setting of the books and what I have seen with my own eyes here on earth were
endless; it overwhelmed my heart and my spirit.

In that moment my heart cried out. In that moment I
recognized what I want to do with my life.

I want to save the world.

The characters in the books, while just characters,
represented more to me. The Lord used them to further break my heart for the
people of this planet, His people. The books end with this beautiful promise of
hope. Where disaster and hopelessness once laid its evil head, change and
redemption now reign. And it all started with one group of people stepping
up demanding something different, something better; something they knew was
theirs all along.

I believe in this generation. The generation that chooses to
say “yes” when God says “go”. The generation that chooses to receive all God
has for them with eager and open hands. The generation that chooses to fight
for what was theirs all along: a kingdom. This generation. My generation.

Over the past 2 years I have been to almost 30 countries
across the world. Through The World Race I have seen lives transformed time and
time again, through the people we go to serve, but also the Racers going to
serve. Through The Race, there is a movement of people who are actually making
a difference. Their prayers are powerful, they love recklessly, and every day
they claim more of this earth in God’s holy name. I believe in what their
doing. And I have a role to play in it.

In August 2009, I embarked on my own World Race. And this
past October, I set out on a whole new journey, leading the anointed S squad
during the first 4 months of their Race.

Again, God has called me to step out. I am extremely excited
to share with you that in July I will strap on my Chacos yet again and head out
onto the field with the X squad as they boldly and obediently follow the Lord’s
call.  I will travel with them during
their first 4 months of their journey guiding them, speaking life into them,
loving them, teaching them, and calling each and every one of them to walk as
the man or woman of God they were created to be. God has blessed me beyond
belief allowing me to go back out doing something I love so much.

While leading S squad, I came alive like never before,
knowing I was designed specifically for the mission He had charged me to with
them. It was hard and demanding, but the refinement He took me through and the
joy I experienced while on the field was unlike anything I had ever experienced
before. And I can’t wait to take it all on again.

I want to share this dream with you. My dream of raising up
a generation of men and women who boldly pursue the Kingdom of God, who know
who they are through and through and claim their inheritance as children of
God, and who love with a love that can only be explained as from the One who is
Love. There is no way I can do this by myself, nor do I want to take on this
heavenly charge on my own. Not only do I 100% need the Lord, but I need you as
well.

In order to follow this call, I need approximately $10,000
and lots of prayer. And like every time before, I know the funds will come in
His time and through His ways. I would be absolutely honored if you would
consider partnering with me and walk through this newest chapter right
alongside me. You can play a huge role in this and help this generation come
alive too! There are 2 main ways you can involve yourself in this:

1.   Add myself and the X squad to your prayer list. Here are some
things you can be interceding for:

1)
Preparation. Pray that we will humbly allow the Lord to mold
us in the ways He desires so that we may be the vessels He needs us to be as we
venture out into the world.

2)
The Present. Pray that each of will receive what the Lord has
for us where we are now and that He will be in working in the relationships
with friends and family here at home.

3)
Support. Pray each member of the X squad will be raising
almost $15,000. All together that’s over $800,000! Pray that the Lord would
provide quickly, abundantly, and in ways that are an amazing testimony to His
blessings.
