It’s been a month.

One month since we hugged 61 beautiful necks and bid our squad farewell.

One month since our beloved squad stepped on a plane to Thailand, without us.

One month since my feet hit America, this time without any idea how long they’d be here.

One month since we were warmly greeted in the Atlanta airport with cheers, signs, and tons of love.

One month since my role as a squad leader was redefined and permanently changed.

One month since this fickle little process called transition became my day-to-day companion.

To be honest, not much has happened since then. But in another sense, so much has happened. When Tim, Abby, and I got on the plane to come home, we knew it was going to be different. We knew it was going to be uncomfortable. We were unsure of what this looks like — being in America, living life, not really knowing what’s next. But God has been so faithful in the blessings He has poured out on us the last few weeks.

We first landed in Georgia and sat down with the wonderful World Race leadership. They helped us process 4 months of giving everything of ourselves to 61 people. People who just 4 months ago I had never even had a real conversation with and now I just can’t imagine doing everyday life without. It was reality check in the best way. I realized that for the first time in my life I had been doing exactly what I was created to do, at least for this season. It is world-changing what God is doing in and through the S-squad right now, and the fact that He let me be a part of that for even 4 months leaves me humbled beyond belief. I am honored to have been able to serve those amazing men and women of God and cannot wait to see what to see what the next 6 months has in store for them!

I stayed in Georgia for a week, reminiscing with K-squaders who have infiltrated the AIM office and many of whom are on staff now. Then I flew up to Ohio, catching up with my own squad leaders and playing in the pretty snow with some more close friends from K-squad. Finally, it was on to the magical land of Texas which is where I’ve been ever since.

Frankly, it’s been hard. No, maybe hard isn’t the word…It’s been an adjustment. But it’s happening. The Lord has given me some sweet time to rest and now it’s on to looking ahead. I have no clue what that looks like. None at all. But I know it’s going to be good. I know God has something remarkable in the near future and I’m walking through the process of figuring out what that is. It’s transition, which is an uncomfortable thing. But it’s transition that’s taking me into something new and oh so exciting.

For those of you who don’t know, I do get to go visit the wonderful S Squad TWO times while they are still out on the field. Around June I will get to fly out to Kenya to catch up and pour into them for a few days. And then in August I will get to meet up with them in India before they head home. I am so excited to get to see their beautiful faces and hug their necks again, but I do need some help in getting there. I need to raise around $3000 to make it to both of these debriefs. I will need around $1500 by May and around $1500 by July in order for my plane tickets to be purchased. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a minute and prayerfully consider giving. And if you feel led, just click the “Support Me” link on the left.

And if you feel the Lord asking you to give, I would be extremely grateful if you would consider giving to members of the S Squad. Their final deadline to have all of their support in is March 31st. God has been extremely faith and knocked our socks off continually with how He has provided for so much of the squad. However there are still a few people in need of some last minute funds and they have to meet this deadline to continue on The World Race. The following people are still in need, so if you feel led, please click on one of their names and then the Support link on the left-hand side of any one of their blogs:
