There other day my team and I were sitting and talking with one of our SQL’s. We were talking about the typical stuff an all girls squad leans toward for a topic of discussion- boys. But we were talking about just that, boys. Not men. When she said the phrase, “You can’t date potential”, I heard the Lord basically scream at me, “THIS! THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN TELLING YOU, LAUREN!!”
I’ve been walking through a lot of this with the Lord, especially while in Thailand. During month 2 He wrote me a letter and has recently been prompting me to post it as a blog, but I’ve been too stubborn (is anyone surprised). But it’s Valentines Day, and there’s no better time to be vulnerable. So let’s do it!
“ He’ll never make you second guess. You’ll never ask yourself if you’re enough. You will never have to try and make him love you. Merely being you and loving Me will be enough. His love for you will be a picture of My love for you. No, it will not be perfect, but it will be in my image. He will provide for you. He will care for you. He will lead you. He will protect you. Most importantly, he will guide you closer and closer to me. I am at the center of your love and he will love Me more than he loves you. What more could you ask for?
Your love will be something he fights for. My daughter, you will be pursued. You are pure, whole and loved. Every day you will be encouraged and reminded of who made you and who loves you. He will show you my love. He won’t give up on you. I will never give up on you so why would I lead you to someone who does not pursue you the way I do and always will? I have created you. I have shaped you. I have pursued you relentlessly. I’m asking you, my precious gem, wait. Don’t chase false love. Don’t move so quickly out of the flesh that you neglect my request of being still. Wait patiently for someone who longs and desires to create a life with you. Who wants to shape you into a wife and mother by listening to my voice and guides and leads you the way I tell him to. Wait to be pursued. You don’t serve a God who neglects or ignores you. You serve ME! The King of kings. Me, who made you , who knows you, who is in constant communion with you. You are meant to be pursued.
Let it happen. Let my plans run their course because, Lauren Anne, he loves you and he desires you. He is waiting to pursue you and to love you until the day I call you home. Listen to me. He is here for you and he wants you. When you are with him, you will never question his intentions, desires or pursuits. You will know. I made him and it is because I love him that he can love you. Wait and be still.
