Jambo! We have settled in to month 6, Tanzania! This month my team is working alongside Team Joy’l in the beautiful city of Singida. We are getting spoiled with our living conditions this month: beds, western toilet, and shower head!
Our ministry this month involves us working with some of the youth who live in more of a slummish neighborhood by the church. The children are so sweet and are slightly scared of our white skin. But they cast their fears aside and run up to us with open arms wanting to be held. Some of the girls are in the process of creating a website for this ministry so that the children will be able to have sponsors in order for them to eat better and attend school. We will also be laying concrete floors down for the church.
Please pray for good health this month. Most of my team has already been sick (you know that bathroom scene from Bridesmaids?…Yeah), but we are gaining back our strength. Malaria is also a big threat here so be praying against any of us getting that as well. Also it seems pretty evident that we’ll be dealing with spiritual warfare this month so prayers for protection for our two teams would be wonderful!
