we got on the topic of driving. Driving in Georgia has been…interesting (I’ll
just leave it at that). Haha…let’s just say the Lord is working on me in the
area of patience. ANYWAY, my friend brought it to my attention how the roads in
Georgia are not exactly what you would call…straight. They twist and turn and
wind all through the hills of Georgia. Your GPS could say 22 miles to your
destination, but it will take you 53 minutes to get there.

life lately. It’s almost as if God is
using the roads of Georgia as teachable moments. The “roads” in my life haven’t exactly been
straight, they have been more winding and twisting, and at times I just have to
take the curves a little slower than I would like. But perhaps God put those
curves there and “reduced the speed” for a reason.
in all your ways submit to him,
verse. However, the part that was brought to my attention last night was “he
will make your paths straight.” It
doesn’t say, “he gives you straight
paths”…he makes your paths straight.
All these years of reading that passage and I never noticed that. That really
spoke to me. So if knowing that, we should then TRUST in the Lord-with
everything! The verse comes full circle for me now.
forsake us, and He also promises that although our paths may not be as straight
as we’d like them, it’s for a reason and He will make them straight in His timing. I’m truly thankful the Lord has me on this journey. He’s teaching me so much and doing a good work in my life. I pray that by me sharing this with you, you are also encouraged that your paths will also be made straight! Blessings!
