For those of you who don’t know, this September I will be taking a full-time marketing position with Adventures in Missions (AIM)! I decided to accept the position and stay a little longer in Georgia. During my sixth month apprenticeship I had a taste of what working for a non-profit looked like. I saw God work in new and different ways. A sort of behind-the-scenes-kind of way and it was exciting. So when my apprenticeship was up, I decided to stay on board–that is after co-leading a team of nine high schoolers to Guatemala and taking a month “off” to spend some time with friends and family in MI. Well, I’m wrapping up my time in MI now and will soon be packing up the old (yes, old…she’s getting up there) JEEP and making the 13-ish hour drive back to GA. (I know what you’re thinking…you wish you could be in that car, singing along with me. There have been many a great concert put on in the JEEP, including a special Christmas in July concert brought on be sheer boredom.)
Anyway…
With this NEW commitment comes many NEW & exciting things. I’m following God into unknown once again. Only God knows what’s ahead! Yet another chapter of my life is beginning. [Insert my excited giggle, and your prayers here.]
So here is where I need your help. Yup, that’s right. I need your help to make this next chapter in my life possible. I have to say (and even as I write this I have tears in my eyes thinking of ALL the BLESSINGS in my life) that I’ve had some of the BEST support a missionary gal could ever ask for–seriously. I live a crazy life. And you all believe in me and that life I live. Wow & THANK YOU! By choosing to stay on with AIM, I will begin my support-raising efforts–and this time it will be for the full year, not just the sixth months like last time. So over this upcoming year I will be putting forth different support-raising efforts. And I am kick-starting those efforts in this blog!
“How?” You may ask…
My brother is an amazing, talented artist who enjoys making pottery. Earlier this summer he gave me some MUGS to sell to help me in my support-raising efforts. Excited about this (and touched), I am now posting them below for you to “shop” through. If you see one you would like, just leave a comment below (please include your email address–only I will have access to it) with the mug number and we will ship it to you.
I am asking for a $25 donation per mug/shipping (however, if you think it’s worth $1,000–by all means, that’s fine to donate that much too) into my support account HERE. Or click “SUPPORT ME” on the left side of this blog. This will help kick-start my support raising efforts and will be greatly appreciated!
