It is March. Whoops–did I catch any of you off guard? Where does time go? March marks month 3 of my 6 month apprenticeship, aka: the half-way point. I have been sending up prayers about my future, apologizing for worrying and asking God to take care of everything, (just like He always does.) Well, my heart began stirring a few weeks ago. I was getting the itch to travel again. I had begun re-reading my blogs and looking through my pictures…I was pretty much sitting right in the middle of “okay God, what’s next?”

So as my heart started stirring, I knew that God was preparing me for something. And that something is…ANOTHER TRIP. Now, before you fall off your chair, you should know that it’s only for 3 WEEKS this time. Two weeks ago I was asked to consider praying about leading a trip through Adventures in Missions when my apprenticeship was over. This trip is an Ambassador trip, which means: high school age! Yup, 14-18 year olds. God, me & the teens. For three weeks. In a foreign country. Ready, set, PRAY!

So perhaps by now you’re wondering did I miss the part where Lauren told us where she is going? Nope, you didn’t miss it, because I thought it would be fun to play a little guessing game of where I’m going. So here’s the deal, I’m going to give you some clues, you can comment with your guess below. And there will be a follow up blog to tell you the “where.” Sorry, there’s no prize for a correct guess…just the satisfaction that you got it right, and maybe a hug the next time I see you.

(*And no cheating if you already know where I’m going.) Here we go.

CLUES:
* It is a Spanish-speaking culture (okay, that narrows this WAY down)
* It’s name means “Land of Trees”
* The entire country is the size of Tennessee.
* It is famous for its soccer (or futbol) league.
* This country has hot tropical climates, more temperate in the highlands and drier in the easternmost areas.
* It is situated between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean (okay, that was a pretty big clue)
* It is ground zero for chocolate. They invented the first chocolate bar.
* This relatively small country boasts one of the most climatically diverse regions in the world. The soil, rainfall, humidity, altitude, and temperature are varied enough to produce seven distinct types of COFFEE!!! (& no, I did not pick the trip because of that)
* Corn, beans, rice, cheese and tortillas form the backbone of most meals.

SO DO YOU KNOW WHERE I’M GOING? GUESS BELOW…
