It’s funny what God uses to speak to
me. The other night, we were hanging out with some friends and
watching fellow Racer, Carl Wilson, at an open mic night. It was
great to just sit in a room with both friends and strangers. And as
the songs played, thoughts & prayers ran through my mind. When
Carl started to play, ‘Heart of Gold’ I immediately felt a tug on my
heart. God used that song to speak to me that night. I felt Him
encouraging me to keep going, not just to finish this race, but in life
overall.
YES, Lord! Keep my searching for a
heart of gold! I’ve seen so much this year and my heart has had its
share of hurts and happiness, but Lord, keep me searching for that
heart of gold!
*Now, I’m not saying God speaks to all
of us the same way-of that I’m sure. BUT, in the chance that this
song could encourage you, I’ve provided you with the lyrics below.
Blessings!
I want
to give
I’ve been a miner
for a heart of gold.
It’s these
expressions
I never give
That keep me searching
for a heart
of gold
And I’m getting old.
Keeps me searching
for a heart
of gold
And I’m getting old.
I’ve been to Hollywood
I’ve
been to Redwood
I crossed the ocean
for a heart of gold
I’ve
been in my mind,
it’s such a fine line
That keeps me
searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.
Keeps me
searching
for a heart of gold
And I’m getting old.
Keep
me searching
for a heart of gold
You keep me searching
for a
heart of gold
And I’m growing old.
I’ve been a miner
for a
heart of gold.
