I had planned today a little different, but you know how that goes sometimes. We can plan all we want, it doesn’t mean our day is going to flow exactly to our schedule the way we think it should. I was supposed to go to Bible study this morning, but I woke up too late. I was supposed to make a fundraising video, but was consumed by an emotional tornado. I was supposed to get some letters sent out, but ended up going on a hunt to find a place where they administer the Yellow Fever vaccine. Those letters I was supposed to send? Well, I went to the library to print them then drove to church where I realized I couldn’t find my phone so I had to back track to the library where I asked around, looking high and low for my phone only to find it in my bag in the car. I was supposed to go to a friend’s art show in Philly, have dinner with some old friends and stay the night, but because I lost my phone that didn’t happen.

So what DID my day look like??

Well, I was able to share Jesus with a doctor who didn’t quite understand my convictions and saw me as a statistic for my age group. I was able to share part of my story with the health food store guy and share about the trip I’m going on. When I told him that one of the countries I was going to was China, his reaction was that of a little kid, full of excitement. One of the places he’s always wanted to go was China. Later, I went to church where I was able to encourage a friend who is struggling. I was also able to talk to an acquaintance about the trip. When this acquaintance found out that I was going to China, he also reacted with pure excitement. He then showed me a photo of his adopted daughter who was from China whom he just adored and couldn’t say enough about how much he loved her and how cool she was. It was actually really cute. Afterwards, I received call from a dearly loved friend of which I extremely miss. So did my day look like what I thought it should, NO, but was it so much more awesome and interesting.. MOST DEFINITELY!!

God is good all the time and all the time God is good 🙂
