Okay, this is it, an inside sneak peak at my diary this week.

Direct from my journal, inserts from the Bible…here’s what’s new:

What if it didn’t take a great band to evoke the presence of God?

“”Do not doubt. The one who doubts is like a wave tossed in the ocean. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will. “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.” “(John 5:17, 19-21, 30 ESV).

That reality of the father and the son goes to a whole new level when you realize that we are invited into the exact same relationship.

God says that he asks us to do foolish things in His name and we have to trust it.

God says if you want to Go, go. You have to decide that if you are rejected it does not mean you failed. The failure is the person who refuses to be rejected. That worries about the friendship more than the friend.

To be open to what God is doing is to know that He is working in every place and every situation… Outside of our thinking. Outside of our planning. Beyond our understanding.

A shot from a home that I served a newly widowed woman in this week. She came to church for the first time ever last Sunday. God is working.
