It’s the nature of being human in a world so driven by competitive spirit to wonder, “was that good enough?” or “am I pretty enough?” and the answer to both is quite simply, YES!
But don’t take it from me, take it from God. After a recent morning spent deep in prayer, I realized one thing, I don’t matter here – God does! I do matter to God, the creator of all. Now before you go misunderstanding me, let me explain…
God works through me and has undying, unending love for me. He knows me and has made me in his image… And that my friend is the most beautiful thing that has ever existed and is so, well, nice. Isn’t it? And guess what, he has the same love for you too.
Oh how beautiful the pursuit. We are so familiar with that…. Every one truly wants to be pursued. To know “I matter”. There are countless songs about the pursuit alone, and God, the creator of the universe is pursuing, courting and loving you and I both.
So all of this just to say, it’s time to stop looking for others to validate you, or give a seal of approval, because those others that you are seeking approval from are made by the one who is pursuing your heart. For me that means, simply this: that smile will always smile. Those eyes will be forever blue. I am beautiful forever because God makes me new!
