Last week my team and I ministered at a Drop in center in Northern Thailand. When we arrived at the center my heart started to break for the kids. They came running towards us as soon as we got out of the truck, giving us hugs and smiles from ear to ear. At that moment God put so many things in my mind that it was a little overwhelming. I was trying to grasp the concepts of their stories and how God wanted me to reach out to the kids, JUST LOVE kept coming to my head when I was praying about it…

JUST LOVE… has so many meanings…

In 1st Corinthians 13: 4-7 it explains love has:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Words that stand out to me in this scripture is patient, kind, protects, trusts, hope and persevere. These words left me with six ways I could love those children, if I was able to show those children those six things God’s love was shown also. God wanted me to be able to show those things to the children here are the ways:

-Be patient with the kids, even when they are noisy and loud, to be calm with them.

-To be kind with them, to show them a smile and laughter which brings joy.

– To protect them, when they are scared or look lonely to give them a hug to show protection

-To trust them, even with their past, to trust that they would make right choices in their everyday lives.

-To hope- Have hope that they will find happiness, joy, and even love in all things that are but in front of them.

– To persevere, my time with them and the choices I choose to minister to them.

I know that lives where definitely touched, that God is protecting them, and He has a purpose for them. It might had only been a week with these kids, but I know that my heart started breaking while I was there. To realize that they have so little, that they have to beg for money, sleep on the streets, collect recyclables to get money, and so much more but they still carry a smile and laughter with them where ever they go.

               Until Take Time….
