My thoughts from July 26, 2016 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

My heart’s cry this month has been “Father, take me deeper” and for some reason I get surprised when He answers that prayer.

This past week our team had to leave the orphanage a week earlier than we had originally planned because our safety was put into question. He whispered, “I will be your comfort”.

The next day a gracious host said our team could sleep in his school for the last week of our trip. Since we were unprepared, we unfortunately had to spend our first night on the floor.  With the events of the last 3 days, I was emotionally & physically exhausted. But He said, “I will give you rest”.

This morning our host (who lives very minimally) realized we had slept on the floor. He started to bring his family’s beds into our rooms. Tears on tears as I saw him doing this.  Who am I to deserve this incredible act of kindness? How amazing is the Lord to provide for me through the generosity of His children.

What a beautiful blessing & He whispered, “Jesus gave you a lot more than a bed… “
