I got baptized in Malawi!

A few people on my squad had been baptized in the ocean during month 4 debrief.

It was AMAZING! Such a cool event to witness!

For some reason, I held back, it just didn’t feel like the right time for me.

At month 6 debrief, I was reflecting on how I’ve grown over the past 6 months and the freedom God has brought me in regards to my past and my identity as His daughter.

I’ve lived my life in a very restrictive way, limiting myself based on lies that have been spoken over me and I’ve spoken over myself. God has been slowly moving some things I’ve always known as “head knowledge” (my identity, the power of His Kingdom on earth, His heart for His people…) and changing them into “heart knowledge” and it’s literally changing me.

I felt like it was my time to walk out what I was learning, and one way of doing that is baptism. I was planning on doing it at the beach of Lake Malawi with my team but after session one night, I realized how much of a family ALL of M Squad is to me so I invited everyone to join some time over the next couple days… someone mentioned there was a pool right outside our meeting spot so… that’s how I ended up being baptized one night, under the stars, fully clothed, in a pool, by my best friends, Mariah and Emily.
