(I am seriously running out of good blog titles…)
Today was church day!
Last night, around 8 PM, the pastor of the church we visited last week called and asked if we would prepare an hour’s worth of content to preach on.
Which, honestly, sums up the World Race rather well.
I had just been saying during team time, right before the call, that I feel God is pulling me in the direction of preaching…
So. Awkward.
I felt an hour was quite a lot of time to fill… so Bliz took this one. (But I did volunteer to introduce us all… So, baby steps?)
It’s not Halloween- Bliz had a visual of Christ’s righteousness being given to us by Him taking our coat and giving us His robe. Good stuff!
The church has more of a Bible-study feel to it, more discussion-based than sermon, which has been cool to experience. The church is young- less than a year old- and it’s been great to bring a little lift and support to them.
This afternoon we were able to talk as a whole team- which was rather awesome. Two of my teammates actually had to go to South Africa yesterday due to a health-related complication of one of our members- things are good, she’s doing well, but it’s hard not having them here.
Tonight, I was able to “join” my church back home! Praise the Lord for Internet and Facebook Live!
All in all, a great day!
This week we are celebrating our halfway point! Crazy!!!
God is good!
