Hi guys! This semester has been quite an overwhelming whirlwind of schoolwork and chaos, and that has made it extremely difficult to give the time and the energy that I want to put into into preparing for the World Race. It’s been frustrating for sure, and I feel a little lost like I’m always a few steps behind and just can’t seem to grab hold or reach my goals…but I am remaining grounded in the Word and trusting that the Lord is outside of this chaos and is in complete, calm, and quiet control.
Thanks to the Lord’s faithful provision and grace I’m a third of the way to my first financial goal, despite the fact that I have sent probably only ten support letters out so far. I’ve watched the Lord come through already, and I know that if He intends for me to go on this trip then I will get there, no questions asked! I can’t wait for these last exams to be over so I can start doing my part and really get on board!!
While I have about $1,500 left to raise to reach my October deadline, I also need all of my gear in time for our training camp. It’s been a literal staggering looking at the prices of new gear, and I’ve quite a time of finding any used. The list that I’ve compiled is already almost $1000 and it’s nowhere near finished. I know there are hundreds of World Race alumni who have tents leftover from their races, some of which aren’t used often, and I am praying that the Lord will provide a way for some of us to borrow or even buy your used tents for our Races! This would be SUCH a blessing. (If I borrow your tent and it breaks I will obviously buy it from you, but…I’m not sure how I would break a tent, so hopefully that’s not a problem)
DEAR WORLD RACE ALUMNUS! Would you consider taking a HUGE weight off a future World Racer’s shoulders by sending them with your tent for 11 months?
I’m praying for provision! Our Father is good. He will provide for every person on this squad, even if it means we will all be buying brand new tents. Thank you so much for reading, lots of love from my squad!!
