Many babies with genetic, mental, or physical handicaps are left to die in alley ways and trash cans. Sometimes, baby girls are left to die just for the simple fact they are girls because women in this culture are looked down upon. As a woman, I should not look a man in the eyes, and never should I smile at a man. To smile at a man is flirting. People who have genetic, physical or mental handicaps are greatly looked down upon as well.
Take Delilah for example, this sweet babe was found in a dumpster with maggots eating her nose. The reason she was "dumped" (for lack of better words) is unknown, other than that she is a girl.

This is where Sarah's Covenant Homes (SCH) comes in, they rescue the least of these and show them true love and care. SCH rescues many children straight from the hospital or from state homes. The main focus is orphans with special needs.
Here, a child with a cleft lip/palette would be considered special needs and many children are misdiagnosed with Cerebral Paulsey because that is a "common" disorder. SCH has great relations with the state homes and is able to rescue children because the state homes know the children will get better one-on-one care. SCH also has great relations with the hospitals and doctors in the area, therefore they are able to get correct diagnosis for the children. Many children, when they first come to SCH, are severely malnourished and may have skin diseases, such as scabies.

It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve and work with Sarah's Covenant Homes. I am blessed and so thankful that God has allowed me to meet these beautiful children. Please check out the website for SCH http://www.schindia.com and meet some of these beautiful children. Each child is in need of sponsorship, please prayerfully consider sponsoring a child to assist in his/her growth.
