 Philippines

As I look back to the past month I’m reminded of a country filled with beautiful people who are full of kindness and love. I never encountered one rude or mean Filipino.

It was a hard month but that was because I was bed ridden for most of it with viral infections, nausea, and more. But Praise God I got to experience the different areas of ministries that make up K.I.M..

5 teams from my squad were placed on the island of Cayagon De           in Mindanao in the town of Put Put. We were there to serve alongside of Kids International Ministries (K.I.M.) which has it’s headquarters based in Manila. In Put Put we lived at Mt. Moriah which is run by a wonderful staff who have their hands in many outreaches on the island. (It’s a large island so I never got to go to the beach, we were too much in the center- If you know me you know that the beach is my favorite place to be so it was  a sad time to miss it!)

While we were in the Philippines we:

BUILT A CHURCH!!!!! How crazy is that! It was amazing to be a part of! And we even had a huge service for it’s opening service on Feb. 27!

Cared for the children at Faith Family Children’s Home

Planted grass in what will one day be a nationwide known soccer field

Worked at a Prison preaching, visiting and loving the people there.

Had a world race basketball outreach team play 3 nights a week with the locals.

It was a great month of ministry and I can’t wait to hear amazing stories of what God countinues to do there!
