You Can’t go back now is a song from a music group called the Weepies, it talks about how far you’ve gone and how you can’t go back now. God’s teaching me a lot thru the song here in Haiti. I’ve seen so much, how could I ever go back to the way that I was?

Today we visited a tent city which houses 2,500 people. it’s cramped, hot, made out of simple wood and tarps- it really is what you saw on the tv. We visited a primary school run by Haitian men and woman who volunteer to work there, they don’t get paid anything. It’s way over an american schools “ratio”. We visited an orphanage that was almost totally destroyed in the earthquake and  had to send all of the kids to another building 2 hours away until it gets rebuilt. And yet  the Haitian people smile…

The Pastor we are staying with, J.C. Sylvain, is an amazing man of God. He has started all of the places above, the orphange, school and tent city. That’s right he went all the way to the US AID base here and picked up all the tarps and he along with the 27 other people he allows to live in his home, built the tent city. He’s a great man who  practices what he preaches. He opened up his door to so many thru out the years and even though he has a ton of work to do everyday he still has a smile on his face. He is constastly praises God for his goodness.

I’m honored to have met this man and his “family”. Please contact me if you’d like more information on him and his ministries in Port a Prince.

Tomorrow we head out 2 hours to vist another World Race team from our squad that is staying at the orphange that all the kids were moved to after the earthquake. Thank you for staying updated and keep praying for us! Thank you!!!
