I have some more pictures of Thailand.  It was so beautiful, so I thought I would share with you some of the places that I have been, and people I have met.  Hope you enjoy!

These are the girls who worked for SHE during the time we were there.  In the back is Mhew, Gib, me, Tar and in the front is Nong, Pat, Nim, Lek, and Rose.  We shared the house with Nim and Rose.  Tar cooked lunch every day for everyone.  Pat was a huge help with translating the Bible studies, and other things.  All of these women are fabulous and funny people.  In our Bible studies in the morning I taught them the books of the New Testament.  By the end of a week and a half 6 of them were able to say them perfectly.  I am so proud of them!

These are our contacts, Mark and Sharon Biddell and 3 of their 4 children, Luke, Sophie and Josh.  Their other son, Jake, was away for a couple of weeks.  We did have the chance to meet him though.

Jen and I went on an elephant ride on Saturday.  This is our elephant leader pulling actual rubber off of a rubber tree for us.

This is me and Jen on the elephant (obviously)

After our elephant ride, our taxi man took us on a little bit of a tour around the southern part of Phuket.  Apparently this is the Andoman sea.

I would like to caption this “more beautiful scenery” but I think my team would be getting tired of making O’s with their arms (we are team obvious after all…)

This is the southern most point in Phuket.  The sun was shining and the water was clear and there were white crashing waves.  It was such a beautiful day.

Ha ha, I really liked this sign.  It reminded me of a similar warthog sign in Swaziland.

Anyway, we all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Phuket.  We were all sad to go, and when Nim started to cry as we left I almost pulled her into the car to bring her along.  On our last day Rose gave us bracelets and roses to remember her by.  Rose, Lek, Nim, and Pat all cooked us a big dinner.  They spent their own money on fish, clams, noodles, chicken wings, pork bits among other things.  They spent 2 hours cooking all of these things, and chicken fried rice.  It was so delicious, and was made with so much love.  I will miss Phuket for the time that I am gone, and I know I will be back in the future.

This is the end of the blog (obviously!)
