Monday was our day off and we had an AWESOME day!  It was one of the best days of my life, and God definately provided for us.  The weather was perfect, the sand was white, and the beach was empty.  Do you know what we did??  We went SNORKELLING ON A REEF!  Apparently Mozambique has some of the most beautiful coastline in the world, and it wouldn’t surprise me.  We also had a fabulous meal for lunch that was included.  It was sooo perfect.  To end the perfect day, back at home we ordered in pizza and watched a new Grey’s Anatomy :).  Take a look at some pictures from the day.  Unfortunately we don’t have water cameras so there aren’t pictures of the many angel fish, parrot fish, purple fish, needlenose fish, sea urchins, striped fish and schools of fish we saw.

The company we went snorkelling with.  We took a traditional Mozambiquan Dhow (boat) to the island.

The boat is similar to the one we took.  This is the reef we snorkelled beside.

The team in all of our snorkel gear.

Getting out into the water was a challenge.

This was our beautiful lunch of barracuda fish, crab, calamari, rice, fruit, salad, and bread.  Who knew seafood was so good?

At the end of the day I found this sand dollar (or as they call it pansy shell) in the water just waiting to be picked up.  Unfortunately they are so fragile it didn’t even survive the ride home.  But it was so beautiful.
