Hello!  Last night we had a squad meeting to find out about our ministry next month.  It includes a lot of physical labour.  This is what I know:

Sunday we will be leaving for BOLIVIA.  We have to fly through Lima and it is an over night flight.  When we arrive in La Paz at 3:50 am we have an hour taxi ride to our party hostel.

We will be staying at the hostel for 4 nights while we debrief.  This city is at 10,000 feet altitude, which apparently can lead to some altitude sickness, especially since the airport we are arriving at is 14,000 feet.  La Paz is also very cold.

On the 21st we are taking an 8 hour bus ride down to a city called Cochabamba where we will be staying for 4 days getting an orientation to ministry.  We will be working with an American couple, who currently run 4 orphanages.  We will be visiting these orphanages for these days.

After the 4 days we will take another bus ride into the rainforest of Bolivia.  We will be doing a lot of physical labour here.  We will be helping to rebuild a church, doing painting and construction and the whole bit.  We will be here for about 10 days.

We return to Cochabamba for another 10 days where we will be breaking ground for orphanage #5.  We will be preparing the land for the building of this next orphanage.

On April 16th we fly out from La Paz through NYC on our way to Africa

On Monday our team had a day off.  Mark bought a fur, but only because he talked the vendor down from 60 soles to 20 soles, which is about $7.  It was really funny, and so we all took pictures with it.  We had a great day together.
