Dear Laura.
I cannot imagine all that you are going to experience this next year and I bet you are probably feeling a million different emotions so I want you to know that as you begin this journey I have so many hopes and prayers for you.
So here they are…..
I pray that you don’t do anything on your own strength, that you surrender everything to the Lord. That you don’t try to control areas of your life that you may think you are capable of handling because you may miss out on what God has for you.
I pray that you don’t settle for your best but that you always seek God’s best for you! That you run the race set out for you with perseverance and that you never forget to look around you and encourage those who are running it with you. I pray that you are not afraid to be vulnerable but that you choose to be your true self even when you feel broken inside.
I pray that you give yourself time to process all that is going on around you and not be blind to your emotions and the things you need to deal with. I pray that you lay down your life everyday and that you wake up with a broken spirit to allow God to use you. I pray that you let go of your first world mentality and realize that patience is a virtue.
I pray that you never give up on learning more about our Lord and Savior and that no matter what the enemy throws at you that you know that you are the daughter of the King. I pray you expect big things because you serve a big God.
I pray that you never become selfish and forget to empower those around you, but that you always see them as sons and daughters of the same Father. Do not let the enemy have a foothold but always be quick to forgive others.
I pray that you listen diligently because everyone you meet will teach you something. I pray that you are always willing to go above and beyond what is expected of you.
I pray you never take yourself to seriously, never forget to laugh and find joy in the little things. Always go on an adventure and love without limits!
I can keep going but I will leave you with this prayer… that you never get to comfortable this next year that you turn to your own strength but instead that you always have to depend on the Lord!
I love you,
Laura
