Yes, I said something about McD’s… I never thought I would face it again (especially on the World Race), but here goes haha…

For those of you that don’t know, I worked at McDonald’s for two and a half years and thought that I had left it all behind. When I left there, I worked at a hardware store, and after leaving that job to take one in which I was not a cashier, I was positive that I never would see it again. After arriving in Malaysia, I was informed that part of the ministry that we would be doing was working in a restaurant. Not only was that completely unexpected, I of course was chosen to be cashier and have been cashier since a week or so ago. The time spent doing this has been interesting, because I feel like I have a job, but also so much fun and… well… just different. I have learned how to use a cashier computer system and have successfully placed orders and given change in a completely different country with different norms, rules, currency, and culture. I did not imagine that I would ever be able to one day say during small talk, “Yeah, back when I worked at a restaurant in Malaysia…” But, that’s the World Race for you. There’s no knowing what will get thrown at you when you decide to just roll with it. Side note-Carol is a stinkin’ awesome trainer!
