How do I begin to recap this month? So many things have happened that I have found it hard to put my thoughts into words, let alone create a concise blog. So I am going to write a little series on Thailand, letting you in on what’s been happening and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Firstly, Team Teleios’ ministry this month has been ministering to the women that work downstairs in the café, help serve in any way we can, and to build relationships with people coming into the café. It has been a very sweet ministry being a part of Zion. We have really grown to love the precious women that work here. Some of them know Jesus and some of them don’t yet, but we were able to have fruitful conversations and have fun getting to know each of them. We went to church with them, spent a day off with them at a waterfall, played cards, and had so much fun. When I would go downstairs to work my shift, I always felt excited to hang out with the girls. Each of them have a different story and reason for coming here to work in the café and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know them. Relationships have been built again this month that will continue long after we leave this country.

This month in general was challenging but beautiful. I spent time in ministry but equal, if not more, time in the Word and in the presence of God.  I spent time on the roof of our building proclaiming God’s goodness over the city, leading worship with the other teams here, and going deeper in relationships with my team and squad.  In this place where there is much darkness, I have chosen to focus on Him instead of the darkness. I mentioned in a previous blog that I have been reading Compelled By Love by Heidi Baker.  In the beginning of this month I read,

“Choose to keep God’s perspective.  Instead of concentrating on our weaknesses or the dark forces of dager on all sides, focus on His face. We are sustained by beholding the beauty of His gaze, and we are confident in His cross- His gospel is sufficient.”

So, I’ve been doing that.  No matter what darkness I see in this city, I have been choosing to focus on His gaze and not be overwhelmed.  And guess what?! I have been seeing Him do mighty things here! I have sincerely loved being here in Thailand.  The things that I learned and eperienced here I feel have forever changed me. I pray for another opportunity to return in the future. There is much more to say about my month here, but you will have to wait for my next 3 blogs! I’m hoping to get them out to you before our ministry in Cambodia begins! Yes, I said Cambodia! We are currently packing and getting ready to board a bus tonight and will have a few days of travel, arriving at our destination on the 4th.

Thank you all again for reading and for your support! Love you all!
