Hey everyone! Guess what!? I’m leaving for China TOMORROW! Actually, since it’s after midnight, I’m leaving TODAY! (I’m flying out of Atlanta in about 13 hours to be exact…but who’s counting?)
The launch event has been great. We have learned more about safety and logistical things but we have also come together as a squad and learned more about each other and God’s heart for us. It’s been a challenging but beautiful couple of days!
We also learned of a new ROUTE CHANGE! We were told that the reason for this change is due to safety and due to an incredible new ministry opportunity. They have told us that there is very little chance that there will be further changes to our route. Here is the new route:

When we found out these changes a few hours ago, our team about burst with excitement! Even as I typed those countries I can hardly contain myself. I just feel God’s excitement all over it and all over our team! I can’t wait to share with you in these next 11 months all that God will do! The new ministry opportunity is Japan! Our amazing Squad Leader, Zach Cobos, has spent time in Japan and has worked out the details! We will be staying in host homes and it will be an amazing month!
I want to thank all of you again for your generous support and for loving me and praying for me! I am so incredibly grateful for all of you! God has used you all in a huge way and I wouldn’t be here without you!
So, here is the moment where I can finally say that the next time you hear from me will be from another country! The plan is to board the plane today and travel almost 15 hours to South Korea for a short layover. Then, we fly to Beijing where we will stay for a night and then take an overnight train to Harbin in Northern China. I will be updating on this blog as much as possible.
