For a long time, the enemy's tactic in my life has been feeding me lies that make me feel unworthy and guilty. "You will never be ready for the race." "What if the funds dont come in?" "What if you are not hearing from the Lord?" "How can you think you can do this having a past like yours?" Sound familiar? I had believed these lies for so long, I almost didnt recognize when they were blaring in my ears.

Well, I'm about to blow satan's cover!

This is not my race to begin with. This was Gods idea from the beginning and He WANTS me on the race! The other day I woke up and asked God, "God, what do you want to do through me on the race?" And He said, "I want to show the world how to love through you and I want to show them what it looks like when grace and favor rest on a person. And I want to embrace you every step of the way!" Sounds opposite of what the enemy has been saying, huh? The thing is, Jesus is sovereign. He is above all, in all, and through all. And HE wants me on this race. I know it to be true because He has confirmed it time and time again. I can feel it in my bones. He is the Lord of my race and He will make it come to pass. He is faithful and so trustworthy. There is no reason for pressure when I'm trusting in Him.

I also want to share with you a dream I had about confronting the enemy's lies. I'm a super visual person so this has really helped me a lot. I pray that it will bring you peace and revelation as well… I dreamt that a woman came up to me with a letter and she said, "This is from the Lord. Please read it and believe what it says. It is VERY important!" I opened it and it said in big, bold letters…"EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE" A soon as I read those words, I found myself in the top tower of this castle. Then I heard Jesus narrating to me what all this meant. The castle was my home and I fealt so at peace there in the presence of God. Then, I looked out the window and a demon was coming towards the castle. This demon represented the lie of negative self-image. I heard God say, "Take this thought captive" so I said out loud, "I am made in the image of Christ. There is no flaw in me!" As soon as I said those words, the ground opened up, creating a moat (like the ones with crocodiles in it, in front of castles way back when) in front of the demon and it fell inside. Then another demon came representing another lie and as soon as I took that thought captive, the ground opened up in front of it and it fell inside. Then the Lord told me, "the enemy only sees what he wants to destroy." So, most people, if the ground suddenly opened up in front of them would try to avoid stepping into the hole, right? Well, the enemy is only looking forward so basically, they are easy to trip up.

So future racers and current racers and anyone else reading this blog, let us build our moat! Who we are and what we have to offer is more precious than gold. Jesus has already won for our sake. Our only job is to defend what has already been claimed victorious. Thank you God for teaching us the ways of your kingdom. And thank you that your love never fails. And thank you that the World race belongs to you. I will choose to stand firm in the knowledge you have given me and I will no longer fear.

Ephesians 6:10-13 "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, let us take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm."

Psalm 91:1-4 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, 'My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!' For it is HE who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark."
