This is such a cute way to get to know everyone so here’s my 50 fun facts:
1. God so loved the world so I want to too
2. Cooking is my stress reliever
3. I love food, especially weird foods and spicy foods so I’m curious to see what we will get to try on the race. YUM!
4. Apparently I’m very approachable because random people come up to me all the time and ask me things, directions, my advice, if I work at whatever establishment I’m in at the moment, anything… it’s kind of weird
5.I only have one sibling: an amazing older sister named Abra
6. at 5′ 9″ my mom calls me a shrimp because I’m the shortest in my family
7. My favorite # is 7 (The Bible likes it too)
8. I’m addicted to coffee so I’m trying to slowly wean myself off since it will prob be a luxury I won’t have in a few months
9. I get a headache if I stay inside too long
10. I love to hike & in nature is where I feel God’s presence the most
11. 1st through 5th grade I played the Harp
12. I broke my nose once getting punched in the face in a water polo game
13. Some jobs I have held include dog walker, lifeguard, alumni funds caller, nanny for kids with autism, front desk at a fitness center, recreation & fitness supervisor, and hotel concierge to name a few
14. I’m currently reading the Celebration of Discipline
15. I went on a 10-day juice fast to hear from God which is part of what led me to go on this trip
16. I think saying things straight up but with tact may I add is the best way of communicating (I’m the kind of person who is going to tell you when you have food in your teeth let’s put it that way)
17. The ocean humbles me, I love just floating out there & seeing how many crazy waves I can dive through before I get pounded
18. My memory can seem creepy at times …but I do take pride in it, I play games with myself to test my remembering abilities
19. I hate being late but I hate being the first one to arrive even more so I’m usually late :
20. My dad moved out when I was 6 so I’ve always been the one to squash the bugs, build stuff and fix things around the house (so on the race if you find a crawly creature you’d like disposed of I’m your girl 🙂
21. I’m obsessed with the moon
22. My fav verse is: Do not be conformed to this world , but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2)
23. My favorite book in the Bible at this moment in time is Romans!
24. I am 24
25. I guess I’m a bit of an observer, this can make me come across as shy when you first meet me, but I’m just taking everything in.
26. I always think I like soda until I take a sip of it
27. I use my driving time as prayer time (which thinking about it is very U.S. of me)
28. I accidentally dyed my hair pink when I was in 2nd grade
29. My four front teeth are fake because they got knocked out
30. I use a sonic care electric toothbrush and I’m very scared of what might happen if I can’t use it on the world race …my oral hygiene is very important to me
31. My roommate says I have too much stuff …I’m trying to change that before I leave (an EVERYTHING MUST GO sale is in the works)
32. My personality type when I did the full Meyers Briggs test is an ENTP, I find these tests quite fascinating
33. When I took the strengthfinders test my top 5 were: Developer, Empathy, Individualization, Restorative, and Command
34. My love language is a tie between quality time and acts of service
36. I always end up crying when I worship, I used to get super embarrassed about it but it’s awesome to be free and humbled by the presence of God so I just embrace it
37. I hate being in vulnerable positions, but God is teaching me how to tear down the walls I’ve built and not be afraid of getting close to people b/c of fear of letting them down in some way
38. I really love photography I’ve always wanted to take a photography class where you get to develop your own film but never got the chance to and now no one uses film anymore. Most of my pics I take are from my iphone
39. I grew up down the street from Apple’s headquarters so I’m a little partial
40. However I didn’t get internet in my house until I was a Junior in High school
41. I’m going to really miss my family, my new church community, and my boots (sadly all these things would be too heavy to bring in my pack)
42. I kind of have a shoe problem, but my feet are tooooo big to let it get too out of hand (size 11)

46. One of my best friends/roommate thinks that I will be a great public speaker one day however I get immense anxiety about it …get red and blotchy and sweaty and my voice quivers so I have no clue where she got that idea from
47.I’ve never had my own website and am not the most tech savvy I see many of you have done some cool stuff with your pages to make it your own if anyone would like to teach me..if you’re still reading that would be AWESOME
48. I want to see God use all of your spiritual gifts while on the race, and I want to see Him move in ways I have yet to witness. He will heal the sick!
49. I am so thankful for all the people in my life that love me and support me! I am a very very blessed child of God 🙂
50! when I’m being honest with myself I am totally freaked out by what we are about to do but I know that God has some crazy amazing plans up his sleeves (If God has sleeves) and each and everyone of you have been on my heart and I can’t express how delighted I am to meet all of you and serve the Lord along side you!
