Mingalabar!!
That’s the Burmese word for hello, goodbye, good morning, goodnight and pretty much any other greeting or farewell you’d ever want to use! Comes in so handy out here and it seems the Burmese people never get tired of hearing us white folks say it. They’re seriously some of the most friendly people in the world; they really enjoy having foreigners around after so many years of being a closed country! It shows on their faces every time they smile back and holler “Mingalabar!” I really really love this country. 🙂
T-squad has been in Myanmar (formerly Burma) for their ministry month #3!
God used this precious group of Jesus freaks to lead dozens of Burmese people to receive Christ in their hearts as their personal Lord and Savior this month!!! Can we get a HALLELUJAH!?!?! These new brothers and sisters are now connected to the local Body of Christ and will be actively discipled by the long-term missionaries we served alongside this month.
The squad also loved on, encouraged and taught English to so many sweet orphans, taught at a worship school, served several long-term missionaries who have given their lives to bringing the Kingdom of God to this beautiful country, and worked to build up a new church plant in the city which was pioneered by Expedition squad last year (my World Race squad!) through park evangelism and life-on-life discipleship.
Such a cool and unique opportunity that we had to come back to Myanmar; we got to see some amazing fruit from the work God did through us last year and invested even more in the relationships we had formed! Praise God!!!
PRAYER REQUESTS: We’re heading into China tomorrow! China is still a closed country; they need more gateways for the Kingdom to flood in and be established!! So we are praying to meet men of Peace and ministry hosts for future World Race squads–partner with us in this please.
A team is also going to the Adventures in Missions base in Cambodia to serve at an event our organization puts on called, “The Awakening”! Please pray for divine appointments, favor and protection in our travels and interactions with everyone we encounter this month.
ALSOOOO, I’m still raising funds for the rest of my season squad leading for these guys! I only need $2,325 to be fully funded to stay on the field until June and also come back out to the squad’s month 8 and month 11 debriefs!! Please prayerfully consider financially supporting me in this.
