My Expectations of My Mission Trip
We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this
mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
I have been thinking about what to say on this blog. When I think of expectations I think of things I know that can happen, things I believe in, But most of all I think of Faith.
“Faith is required to receive from God, and our expectation is proof of our faith. So, if we ask God for something, but then we don’t do anything on our part to bring it to pass, we must question our faith.
God will do His part for sure, but we are required to do our part as well. What is our part? Expect! Believe it, confess it, and anything else that could possibly be done on our part, for “Faith without works is dead”(James 2:20).”

My expectations for my mission trip are; I Expect God to move in amazing ways! I expect God to use me, to work through my hands to heal the sick, to use my voice to speak hope into lives. Mostly I expect him to turn my life upside down, to change me into a different person, to make me more like him. I expect to be stretched and taken far out of my comfort zone. I expect my marriage to change more and more into the way God always intended marriage to be.
There will be impossible things being done because My God can do the
impossible.
