So I have some news for all of you: About a month ago our squad spent a beautiful few days on the island of Zanzibar before leaving Africa. It was a time to relax, hang out with our teams, and say goodbye to Africa.

Well over the course of the few days 2 girls were called home which resulted in team changes for all. I was on team United before, with 2 guys and 3 other girls. Our squad leaders spent a lot of time in prayer, explained their hearts behind their decisions, and then completely switched up all teams. I am now on a team with 3 other girls, one of them being Shannon who was on my old team United. After telling us the changes we all had time to pray and reflect. At first I was blown away, the people I had just spent the past 7 months with were no longer my team. We had become like family and shared so much with each other that it was hard for me to be separated from them. I had literally spent every day with them.
But then I realized that God has more in store. He wants me to continue grow in new ways over these next 4 months and my new team will help me do that. So with that being said my new team is Emily, Shannon, Leyna and I. Its different being on a smaller all girls team, but not a bad different.
I am actually excited to see how we grow together as a new team and challenge each other in ways we weren’t before.
Also our new team name is Hadassah, the name that Esther is refered by in the book of Esther 2:7. Just like my last team name (united) was prophetic so is Hadassah. Ester was a brave women, she found favour in everyones eyes, she was beautiful without any extras, she feared the Lord and loved her family and people.

L to R- Shannon, Emily, Me, Leyna
