“Uh, dude…thats a lot of money!”

Oh Hi there! 

So I just wanted to give you a breakdown of exactly where the money I need to raise will be going.

Also, props to a guy named Jeremy Driver for the awesome pie charts!

 

The $16,254.35 total for the mission breaks down into the following:

 

 

 

The World Racer Budget can be broken down further into estimates based off of past World Racer’s experiences.

Of the $10,065 World Racer Budget:

 

• Intercontinental Travel ~ $4,530 – 45%
• Transportation ~ $1,107 – 11%
• Food ~ $1,308 – 13%
• Lodging ~ $1,912 – 19%
• Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies ~ $1,208 – 12%

 

Going on the World Race, I have to fundraise. And part of doing that is asking people for money. I don’t just have 16000 dollars laying around to fund this. But honestly, I don’t think God would want me to have that money laying around. Having to fundraise money, having to rely on God to put it on people’s hearts to support me, that is trusting him. Thats trusting in other people to be obedient to God. It’s just another thing I will learn through this race! 

I would like you to prayerfully consider supporting what God is planning to do through me on the race. By doing so, you aren’t just giving me your money. No, you’re coming on this journey with me! You will be helping God accomplish his mission on this trip just as much as I will!

Truth is, I’m no one special. I can’t sit here and convince you that I am some amazing follower of Jesus who never screws up and that’s why you should support me. Nope, I’m human. I’m just like you. I just have a call to go on this trip. But if you pray about it, God might just have a call for you too, to help send me so I can fulfill his plans for me!

I can’t do what God wants me to do without people supporting me. Which actually shows me how much pride I need to let go of. If I am going on a missions trip to serve other people, why, then, is it so hard for me to ask and allow other people to serve/support me? I think this is something God is going to be working on in me!
