We were asked to write about what we expect from

the World Race…

I expect God to show up.

I expect God to change me.

I expect God to completely, utterly and absolutely shock me.

I expect God to teach me things about him, about myself.

I expect to see spiders…which is terrifying.

I expect to scream like a little girl when I see said spiders.

I expect to see different constellations in the sky.

I expect to sleep on strangers shoulders on airplanes.

I expect strangers to sleep on my shoulders on airplanes.

I expect it to rain when I think I’m having a rough day…even in the desert.

I expect to witness the best sides of people.

I expect to witness the worst sides of people.

I expect to miss home.

I expect to befriend people in Africa, Asia and Europe.

I expect God to use me in ways I never, ever dreamed of.

I expect to lose at least one thing on the race.

I expect to have a second family within my team/squad.

I expect to fall in love with the good in people.

I expect to be heart broken for the plight of other people in this world.

I expect to eat things my stomach has never known.

I expect to be dirty.

I expect I’ll pray a lot.

I expect I’ll get closer to God.

I expect to see animals in the wild that I’ve only ever seen in zoos.

I expect to plant seeds in the minds of non-believers.

I expect to see God change lives.

I expect nothing, but I expect everything at the same time.

Yup. Thats about it!

OH! I expect, but really hope I’m wrong, to have lice. I’ve read a gazillion blogs about it and I am not excited! haha

Basically, I expect God to blow my mind.

I expect God to wreck every plan I have, because his plans mean literally so much more than my plans ever could.

I just expect God.
